Quake awakening costs 14,500 Fragments total across 5 moves. Awakening transforms Quake from a C-tier niche fruit to a B-tier solid PvP pick with wide AoE shockwaves, Tremor Bomb for instinct break, and massive crowd control. Awaken X first (Earthquake Shockwave) for the biggest immediate upgrade.

Quake awakening is unlocked through the Mysterious Scientist NPC in Third Sea using Fragments earned from raids. Unlike some fruits where awakening is optional, Quake awakening is essentially required to make the fruit competitive in 2026. Unawakened Quake is a solid B-tier fruit. Awakened Quake transforms into a genuine PvP threat with shockwave propagation, instinct-breaking moves, and dramatically improved AoE coverage.
The 14,500 Fragment total is the same investment as Awakened Ice, making Quake one of the standard-cost awakenings rather than a Fragment-heavy investment like Dough (23,500 Fragments). The payoff is substantial โ Quake goes from a slow, single-target oriented fruit to a wide-area shockwave machine that controls zones and chains stuns.
Quake physical value ~1M (Rare tier). Compare vs target fruits before trading. At 6/10 demand it sells moderately fast.
14,500 Fragments = 30โ58 Third Sea raids. Calculate if awakening Quake is better ROI than selling Quake and buying a higher tier fruit instead.
Awakened Quake needs specific stat build. Use calculator to verify you have enough points in Blox Fruits stat for max move damage before spending Fragments.
Quake physical (1M) โ can be traded for better Legendary fruits with small adds. Use WFL before deciding to awaken vs trade.
| Move | Fragments | Awakened Upgrade | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z โ Quake Punch | 500 | Faster cast, wider shockwave radius | 4th |
| X โ Earthquake | 3,000 | Ground shockwaves travel forward, extended AoE | 1st โ |
| C โ Tremor Bomb | 4,000 | Throws massive seismic bomb, instinct-breaking, AOE stun | 2nd โ |
| V โ Air Crusher | 5,000 | Aerial shockwave slam, distance-based damage scaling | 3rd |
| F โ Seaquake | 2,000 | Water traversal via seaquake, similar to Buddha sea walk | 5th |
| Total | 14,500 | Full awakening complete | โ |
Punches the air creating a shockwave that travels forward. Awakened version has faster cast time and wider blast radius compared to the sluggish unawakened Z. Good combo opener โ fast enough that opponents with moderate Haki can struggle to dodge the wider hitbox. 8-second cooldown. Best used as a fast combo-ender or opener when C is on cooldown.
Slams the ground creating horizontal shockwaves that travel across the arena floor hitting anything in their path. The shockwaves extend significantly further than unawakened X, turning this from a close-range ground strike into a mid-range zone control tool. Multiple shockwave lines spread from the impact point โ opponents must actively dodge sideways to avoid all of them. 12-second cooldown. Most important awakening in Quake's kit.
Throws a massive seismic bomb that detonates on impact creating an enormous AoE explosion with an instinct-breaking shockwave. Tremor Bomb is the reason awakened Quake is PvP viable โ the instinct break means Observation Haki cannot dodge the detonation area. Pairs perfectly with awakened X: X forces opponents to dodge sideways, then C covers the dodge direction. Combined: 18-second cooldown cycle for near-guaranteed hit.
Leaps into the air and slams down creating a massive aerial shockwave. Damage scales with distance โ the higher you jump before activating, the larger the impact zone. Used to catch opponents attempting to escape via flight. Best in team fights where multiple opponents are grouped. 20-second cooldown. Third awakening priority despite highest Fragment cost because X and C define the playstyle.
Awakened F allows Quake to walk on the sea surface by creating earthquake tremors on water. Functionally similar to Buddha's sea floor walking but on the surface rather than below. Useful for Sea Beast hunting and island traversal without needing a boat. Lowest priority awakening โ purely utility rather than combat improvement.
| Metric | Unawakened Quake | Awakened Quake | Improvement |
|---|---|---|---|
| PvP Tier | C-tier | B-tier | +2 tiers |
| AoE Range | Close range only | Mid-range shockwaves | +300% radius |
| Instinct Break | No | Yes (Tremor Bomb C) | New ability |
| Water Walk | No | Yes (Seaquake F) | New utility |
| Move Speed | Slow cast times | Significantly faster | Major |
| Crowd Control | Single target stun | Multi-target AoE stun | Major |
250โ500 Fragments per raid completion. At 3โ5 minutes per raid = 50โ100 raids needed for full 14,500. Best: Tiki Outpost and Hydra raids for fragment density.
X first (3,000) โ C second (4,000) โ V third (5,000) โ F fourth (2,000) โ Z last (500). Get PvP benefit immediately, complete full awakening over time.
Join raid groups rather than soloing โ group raids complete faster and often give Fragment bonuses. Discord servers for your server region have active raid groups.
During double Fragment events (seasonal), the 14,500 Fragment investment halves to 7,250 effective raids. Save awakening for these events when possible.
B-tier post-awakening. Tremor Bomb instinct break is strong. X+C bait-punish combo catches most players. Loses to high-mobility fruits (Tiger, Kitsune). Best in slower-paced 1v1s.
B-tier. Wide shockwave AoE clears groups efficiently. Not as dominant as Buddha but solid for Third Sea mob clearing with good stat investment.
A-tier. AoE shockwaves excel in raid scenarios where mobs are grouped. Tremor Bomb on raid boss clusters is high value. Strong raid contribution fruit.
A-tier. AoE coverage and Tremor Bomb instinct break create chaos in team fights. Air Crusher from above covers large player clusters. Best use case for Quake overall.
If you enjoy Quake's playstyle and plan to use it long-term: awaken it. The 14,500 Fragment investment is reasonable and the awakened version is genuinely good in GvG and raids. If you want the best possible PvP fruit: trade Quake up toward Shadow or Dough instead โ they outperform awakened Quake in 1v1 PvP.
X and C together are the two most impactful Quake awakening moves. At 7,000 Fragments you have earthquake shockwaves and instinct-breaking Tremor Bomb โ the core of Quake's PvP identity. The remaining V, F, Z can be unlocked later without significantly impacting PvP viability in the short term.
Use X to dictate movement, C to punish it: The core bait-punish dynamic of awakened Quake. Earthquake Shockwave (X) forces opponents to move sideways to avoid the ground shockwaves. Immediately throw Tremor Bomb (C) toward the direction they dodged. Against experienced players, vary the timing to prevent them from predicting the C placement.
Air Crusher height matters: V (Air Crusher) deals more damage and covers a larger area when activated from higher altitude. Always jump or use a high platform before activating V. From ground level, Air Crusher is mediocre. From maximum jump height, it covers an enormous area โ essential in team fights.
1. Awakening V before X and C: V costs 5,000 Fragments โ the highest single move cost. But V is the third priority in terms of PvP impact. Awakening V first leaves you 7,000 Fragments from having the two most impactful moves (X and C). Always awaken X โ C โ V in that order.
2. Using Tremor Bomb without setting up with X first: Tremor Bomb (C) instinct break is powerful but telegraphed if used alone โ skilled players dodge before it lands. Earthquake Shockwave (X) first forces movement, then C catches the dodge. Never open with C alone against experienced players.
3. Fighting aerial opponents with ground Quake moves: Most Quake moves (X, C) work best on grounded opponents. Aerial fighters using Light, Kitsune, or Portal can avoid all ground shockwaves by staying airborne. Use V (Air Crusher) for aerial opponents and retreat to target grounded players โ don't tunnel on aerial opponents.
